Better Hearing Calmer Mind

I teach at a high school and the stress of dealing with workplace challenges really got to me. Whenever I felt extremely stressed, which was often, my heart would race. I grew up in a high-altitude plateau area. After moving to Los Angeles in 2000, the change in altitude caused a reduction of pressure in my ears which led to a decrease in my hearing. Sometimes I could not even hear my students.
Unexpected Benefits
My wife introduced me to Bodhi Meditation. In April 2017 I participated in the Energy Bagua foundation course. At first I struggled with fatigue and a lack of concentration. After two days of practice, I was walking more easily. The more I walked, the more relaxed I felt. My mind could concentrate on Master’s guiding words and my body was filled with energy. After a few weeks, I realized that my emotional burden was lighter and I became calmer. When encountering problems, I didn’t feel nervous and my heart rhythm remained steady. I was able to stay relaxed and clearheaded while helping students solve their challenges.

After three months of practicing Energy Bagua, my hearing improved. When I was in class, I could hear my students clearly. An added bonus was weight loss: My weight dropped from 205 to 185 pounds (92 to 83 kilograms).
