Grand Opening Ceremony
Compiled by Dan Huan
On April 22, 2018 practitioners and friends from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Myanmar gathered at Taichung Bodhi Meditation Center for its grand opening. To the delight of the excited crowd, Grandmaster JinBodhi, the founder of Bodhi Meditation, conducted the opening ceremony.
Aspiration and Compassion
The joyous occasion commenced with congratulatory messages from guests. After a jubilant countdown culminated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the VIPs were presented with tokens of appreciation.
Teacher Juezhen from Bodhi Meditation Headquarters captured the thoughts of many when she spoke. “Having been a disciple of Grandmaster JinBodhi for a period of time, I have witnessed the opening and the growth of many centers, from Canada and the United States to Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan and Myanmar. In future, we will have centers in Australia, Africa, and many other countries and regions. These establishments are made possible by the great aspiration of Grandmaster JinBodhi, his all-encompassing compassion, and his dedication to the health and happiness of all sentient beings.”
Sacred Ceremony
Grandmaster JinBodhi unveiled a beautiful sign which read: The Medicine Buddha Hall. The sign signifies a warm welcome and the embracing of happiness, health, peace, fortune, and the practice of compassion.
Subsequently, other signs, Door to Purity and Door to Easefulness, were unveiled. These signs represent the wish that all Bodhi Meditation practitioners be carefree, contented, at peace, and free of pain and illness.
Following that, Grandmaster JinBodhi unveiled multiple statues: Medicine Buddha, Four-Armed Avalokitesvara, Guru Padmasambhava, Maitreya, Zi Zai Guanyin, Manjushri, and Yellow Dzambala. The air was buzzing. Everyone present felt blessed.
True Wealth
Overjoyed at the opening of another center, Grandmaster JinBodhi welcomed all to return to Taichung Bodhi Meditation Center, a warm and compassionate home for everyone.
Master emphasized that Bodhi Meditation Centers are important places for meditation practices and self-cultivation. As we practice selflessly giving to others, good health, wealth, longevity, and auspiciousness are bestowed upon us and our future generations. Master shared that only a compassionate person is considered truly rich and blessed.
With deep gratitude and touched by the hard work that went into the elaborate ceremony, Grandmaster JinBodhi blessed all present with great auspiciousness. The ceremony ended with the chanting of The Six-Syllable Mantra by Master. Compassion and love was delivered to every corner of the center.
May all who enter Taichung Bodhi Meditation Center find peace, health, and the warmth of a loving home away from home.
