Editor’s Words

We wish to wake up to a new day with fresh energy and enthusiasm. For some, however, finding restoration through sound sleep is an ongoing challenge. In “Healthy Living,” we offer some tips on choosing the right pillow and good sleep positions to help you greet each day feeling refreshed.

During the day, taking a true break allows you to access your deeper self so you can inhale each moment with a listening heart. Grandmaster JinBodhi’s message on opening one’s heart to the world offers inspiration to all readers.

In between your tasks, you may be tempted to reach for the sweet delights. Be mindful that sweetened foods burden the body. Take charge of your habits to prevent damage to your health.

In whichever corner of the world you are at, rejoice at the turnaround of many practitioners who’ve returned from the brink of collapsing health. They are experiencing their first sip of happiness after recovering through meditation practices.

Just as a teabag needs heat to release its power, you do not know how strong you are until you are plunged in hot water. Challenges develop our strength. It is possible to leave scars behind, be they rooted in childhood or in years of ill-health, and emerge more robust and with a wiser, more seasoned character.

May our Meditation & Health magazine be your quality cup of tea, its calming flavors and aromas bringing your troubled mind back to a hopeful, balanced state, melting your worries and stress, and helping you rediscover great health, happiness, and an invigorated sense of purpose.
